Abstract

Traditional construction methods have given way to modern construction techniques, therefore, the speed of execution of these tasks makes the relationship between cost and time one of the most relevant questions. The construction industry plays an important role in sustainable development, mainly because people are working hard to reduce its negative impact on the environment. The steel construction system has to comply with the current highly demanding market, especially when it comes to the environmental scope and its aspects. With this focus, in addition to removing all types of dangerous and manual activity from the construction site, the use of steel structures is considered one of the sustainable options that combine speed, quality and rationalization. The general objective of the current work is to encourage the use of metallic construction systems in the current civil buildings in Brazil. The methods used to achieve this goal are bibliographic studies related to the theme. The sum of all this information can lead to a comparison of existing systems on the market and emphasize the importance and advantages of using existing steel systems.
