ABSTRACT :

This article aims to discuss the theme: What is the importance of games in early childhood education? One of its goals is to allow the educator to rethink his pedagogical practice, making use of games in the teaching-learning process. Because the classroom games have become a tool of great relevance, due to its playful factor. Being a mechanism for improving motor and manual skills. Which allows to develop the physical, emotional and cognitive side of the child. Making the act of learning a meaningful activity. Seen, games are a valuable source of learning in early childhood education and throughout the school. To carry out this work, we used the bibliographic research, emphasizing, mainly, the thoughts of authors such as: Vigotsky, Wallon, Kishimoto and the National Curriculum Reference for Early Childhood Education. (RCNEI).
